After 6 months of reading books,
countless articles, much pondering, and praying, I came to the below conclusions.
I strived for an fair and balanced evaluation of the issues. I read what the
Critics said, read what the LDS Church said, read what the LDS apologists said,
read original sources, and did my own research and analysis. My conclusions (in
order) were:
1.
The current LDS Church is in apostasy
because its teachings contradict the BOM.
2. Joseph
Smith was a fallen prophet because subsequent revelations contradict the BOM.
3.
Joseph Smith produced the BOM by
divination; therefore, the BOM is not the Word of God and is not true. Thus, Joseph
Smith was never a prophet and the LDS Church was never God’s restored church.
